Ideal for smaller fireplace openings, this direct vent insert delivers up to 20,500 BTUs with natural gas or 19,500 BTUs with propane while maintaining efficiency ratings between 60 and 80 percent. Its sealed direct vent system separates combustion air from indoor air, providing clean, safe, and energy-efficient operation that can serve as a primary or supplemental heat source.

The Innsbrook Direct Vent Insert features Empire's unique Slope Glaze Burner, producing lively, natural flickering flames that beautifully complement the optional hand-painted ceramic fiber log set and decorative liners. The variable flame height burner creates realistic fire movement and glowing ember effects, bringing the warmth and charm of a traditional wood-burning fireplace with the convenience of modern gas technology. Its clean-face design maximizes the viewing area, creating an elegant focal point that enhances any living space.

Designed as a direct replacement for existing masonry or factory-built wood-burning fireplaces, the Innsbrook 20" installs using a 3-inch flexible vent system for dependable performance. Available with either Millivolt or Intermittent Pilot ignition, the insert supports optional remote or thermostat controls for convenient everyday operation. Millivolt models continue providing heat during power outages, while Intermittent Pilot models offer improved energy savings and can also operate during outages using a standing or intermittent pilot mode.
