Designed for larger fireplace openings, this direct vent insert delivers up to 28,500 BTUs with natural gas or 27,500 BTUs with propane while maintaining efficiency ratings between 60 and 80 percent. Its sealed combustion system separates room air from combustion air, providing safe, clean, and energy-efficient performance that can serve as a primary or supplemental heat source.

At the heart of the Innsbrook 28 is Empire's signature Slope Glaze Burner, engineered to create rich, natural flickering flames that closely resemble a traditional wood fire. Optional hand-painted ceramic fiber logs and decorative liners add exceptional realism and visual depth, while the variable flame height burner produces an inviting flame pattern that enhances the ambiance of any room. The clean-face design maximizes the viewing area, allowing you to enjoy an expansive view of the beautiful fire while complementing a wide range of interior styles.

Designed for installation into existing masonry or factory-built wood-burning fireplaces, the Innsbrook 28" uses a 3-inch flexible vent system for dependable and efficient operation. Available with either Millivolt or Intermittent Pilot ignition, it supports optional remote or thermostat controls for effortless everyday use. Millivolt models continue providing heat during power outages, while Intermittent Pilot models offer greater fuel efficiency and can also operate during outages using either a standing or intermittent pilot mode.
