The Superior 6SPIS Insulation Shield is designed to provide critical thermal protection where a 6-inch diameter chimney system passes through floors or ceilings. This component helps maintain required clearances to combustible materials by containing insulation within the proper area, ensuring a safer and more compliant wood-burning chimney installation. Its durable construction supports long-term reliability in high-temperature applications.
Engineered with a Snap-Lock tab connection design, the 6SPIS ensures quick, secure installation and a precise fit within Superior chimney systems. Built with 430 stainless steel inner and outer casings, continuous laser-welded construction, and 1-1/2" ceramic fiber blanket insulation, it delivers exceptional strength and heat resistance. Listed to UL 103HT and ULC-S629 standards, it is rated for 2100°F intermittent use and 1000°F continuous operation, with a 2-inch clearance to combustibles and a limited lifetime warranty.
