The Superior 7SPIS Insulation Shield is designed to provide essential thermal protection where a 7-inch diameter chimney system passes through floors or ceilings. This component helps maintain proper clearance to combustible materials by containing insulation and ensuring a safe separation between the chimney pipe and surrounding structure, supporting code-compliant installation in residential wood-burning systems.
Built for durability and easy installation, the 7SPIS features a Snap-Lock tab connection design for quick, secure assembly. It is constructed with a 430 stainless steel inner flue and outer casing, continuous laser-welded seams, and 1-1/2" ceramic fiber blanket insulation for excellent heat resistance and long-lasting performance. Certified to UL 103HT and ULC-S629 standards, it is rated for 2100°F intermittent use and 1000°F continuous operation, and maintains a 2-inch clearance to combustibles.
