The Superior DRL6048 48 Inch Contemporary Linear Direct Vent Gas Fireplace combines modern linear styling with advanced performance features to create a sophisticated focal point for contemporary homes. Its clean-face design with integrated tile stops allows for a seamless installation, while the black porcelain liner and platinum crushed glass media enhance the visual depth of the flames. Optional colored glass media further expands customization possibilities, allowing homeowners to tailor the fireplace to complement a wide range of interior design styles. The versatile design also supports optional indoor see-through and indoor/outdoor see-through conversion kits, making it ideal for unique architectural applications.
Built for comfort and convenience, the Superior DRL6048 features electronic ignition with battery backup to maintain operation during power outages. Available for natural gas operation and field-convertible to propane, this fireplace delivers up to 35,000 BTUs on natural gas and up to 31,000 BTUs on propane. Six adjustable flame settings with up to a 30% turn-down capability allow precise control over heat output and ambiance. A factory-installed blower with six speed settings helps distribute warmth efficiently, while the included multi-function remote control provides easy access to thermostat settings, flame height, blower speed, lighting controls, and ignition functions.
To further enhance the fireplace experience, the DRL6048 includes integrated floor lighting that adds visual appeal with or without an active flame. The optional HeatFlo™ kit helps redirect heat above heat-sensitive wall décor and electronics, while an optional power vent system provides additional installation flexibility for down-and-out venting configurations.
